Must Haves:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering)
- 3+ years of experience in product development & testing and/or cost improvement programs.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to summarize technical data/results quickly for non-technical audiences.
- Experience with New Product Development – Experience managing/overseeing a product from start to finish.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience leading teams to show task breakdown, prioritization, and management across a group of people
Plus:
- Must be able to occasionally work in a power lab environment, including lifting objects, running cables, or stepping over/around objects
- Experience with 3 phase power and conversion/conditioning products preferred, but not required (Prefer experience with large (>100kW) 480V 3-phase power lab testing)
- Scrum master certification or PMP preferred, but not required
Day to Day/Responsibilities:
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Technical Project Lead - this position works with the offering management team to refine product requirements and turn them into product specifications that drive cross functional team development. This role leads the development teams through the NPD process cycle at a technical level (opposed to high-level program management) to make sure the product meets the requirements. This role will focus on clients Static Transfer Switch (STS) and Power Distribution (PDU) products. The individual will be responsible for understanding product requirements and developing technical product specifications that will drive the cross functional development teams. This role works through the entire product development cycle to make sure the R&D team stays on schedule and meets the original market requirements. Close collaboration between offering management, system engineering, mechanical engineering, product engineering, firmware engineering, agency compliance, and product integrity teams.
